Default Afe throttle body spacer?

I've always been the type to laugh at those who wasted money on throttle body spacers but afe caught my attention with the power numbers they are posting. Anyone tried it yet?

Sounds like snake oil to me, $115 for a piece of metal is not worth it to me.

Also, the 2014+ trucks are direct injected so explain to me how it's going to help "break the fuel up which creates a more complete combustion cycle".

The air is already going into the cylinders all crazy like after it rushes past the intake valve, more turbulance before the valve doesnt make me think it's going to do anything better.

I agree but being they're claiming dyno numbers, should be able to make a pull as baseline, install and make another pull. If there's not improvement a refund should be in place...

Sure, I guess.

But for MAYBE 8hp, that isnt enough to justify $115 over. I think I'd throw the money in the trash before paying for one. But if people have the money to burn for a minimal gain, more power to them.

The drop in air filter would be more likely to do something then the TB spacer. Funny thing is every TB spacer I've seen actually chokes down the TB bore.

This is a throwback from the days when we used to spray fuel into the TB. Carbs and TBI benefited greatly from TB spacers. If this could add power and save fuel, like it claims, then the factory would use it on every vehicle to reduce CAFE.

Only thing I noticed on today's vehicles with a spacer is an annoying whistle every time you open the throttle. Had a few friends fall for the claims.

Maybe if you give them a bit more of your money you can get a tornado too.

I saw a throttle body spacer that had some description about how it is supposed to make the air spin as it passes the spacer to help with fuel atomization, i think more could be had speeding the air upand pulling more in...through a smooth intake tube with no baffles... Forgot who made the one i saw but i want to say it was only $40.... Sadly i had considered buying it just for the bolts when i was puting my intake together....
