I don't really understand the big deal with putting the 6.2 in a RCSB it's not any harder nor does it cost any more than for them to drop one in at the factory than the 5.3.

At least they could make it to where you could get one with a 6.2 if you special ordered it IMHO!

Typical gm. I always wanted a factory installed 350 vortec in an s-10. It wouldn't have been much more difficult than the 4.3.

GM has released the 6.2 #s: SAE-certified 420 horsepower (at 5600 rpm) and 460 lb-ft of torque (at 4100 rpm)

Piston squirters? Like oil squirters under the pistons? Do the new engines really all have this?

Thats funny because in 1998 & 99 a 5.7 Vortech was available in an Astro Van. I took a couple of them in on trade-in. Customers were running from them.
