Arrow 1st LS 408 engine build

What's up guys need a little help trying to make some power the the bolt ons on the 4.8 have gotten old and gotten me beat to many times now ready to step up with the big dogs and go fast. Here is my plan LQ4 408 because I want to stay N/A but I don't know where to go with the heads. Once I get a LQ4 and the rotating assembly I will be low on cash what should I do with stock heads to make about 400 HP heres my plan for the bottom end.
Lunati Forged 4" Crank Lunati 6.125" H-beam with ARP 2000 Rods.
Get comp cams to grind me somthing a little loopy and torquey and all the valvetrain goodies from them. But I have no idea on milling numbers or compression numbers I need help there. I almost forgot pistons I'm looking at Wiseco 4.03'' -3.0cc flat top from TSP

L92's would be a cheap option that would flow well in stock form on a 408. Also, I would shoot for 450-500 hp if your going to all that trouble to get all those extra cubes.

You should maybe do a little research. Whether you're talking about 400 hp at the flywheel or at the wheels, the 4.8 could do that for a lot less money.

Either way, you wont be running with any "big dogs". But it will be a good running truck.

go with an Eagle crank over the Lunati and save, what, $1000? That would open up room to do more with heads. I've seen 408, big cam, absolute stock LS6 heads make 450+ to the tires by the way. My theory is always to get your budget to the right place before you start the project so you can do it all the right way and get the best results out of it. Is that 65E a stocker?

I'd spend the money on a turbo set up.

Is there anything I can do to the heads for the 6.0 I am trying to purchase to make them flow like L92. My plan is to have the motor in by DEC with all the bottom end and cam done, and upgrade from there as I get tired of parts and need more speed. But on the flip side roughly what am I looking at as far as price for a set of L92 or LS3 if I decided to go that route?

So by reeacrh you mean speandig every free moment I have at work or home on PT.net typing 408, LQ4, 6.0 build in the search bar right cause I thought thats what I have been doing for the last month. I'm through with the 4.8 I don't want to spend anymore money on that.
400-450 hp to the wheels with a 408 under the hood of a DD is a big enough dog for me and where I race.

From Texas Speed I can get that Lunati set up with pistons for 1975. I'll do a lot more looking but where can I pistons, crank, and rods for 900 to 1000 buck? I pretty much have my budget, but if you say I can fit more into that budget I'll definitely look into it.

O well I just had it rebuilt with all the stuff in my signature ( .500 boost valve Raybestos, Kevlar band, and Vette Servo)
