Default 2002 4.8 build

I have 2002 step side sliverado I'm starting to build. I'm trying to find some cam and stall numbers to begin with, any suggestions? ( It's a DD but i want to be able to tear the 1/8 up.)

for a good dd I would go with the tr220 on a 112lsa and a circle-d 3k rpm torque converter. a Good set of longtube headers and a free flowing exhaust, and 4.10 gears with a trutrac. Either one of those tuners will get the job done. I like the drive and scan thing that blackbear does. He sends you a device, you plug it into the obdII port, drive around, and send it back to him. He uploads the data from your drive and builds you a custom tune. Its as close as you can get to a in person tune with out being in person lol.

To get the power out of your truck youll have to get it tuned any of the three you listed are good and im not going to pick one over the other. They all do a good job from the feedback i have seen. Havent dealt with all three of them so cant answer that honestly. But dont think youd go wrong no matter which one you pick. Or see if theres a good tuner in the area you live in. Thats a good way to go too just because its face to face and maybe a little faster. Dont get a handheld. Spend the time and money to get it done specifically for your truck. Thats the best way to do it even if you have a bone ztock truck with nothing but a tune. Or if you wanna really get into it get hp tuners or efi live and learn to do it yourself. Thats always fun.

Agreed. Thats a pretty slick deal. And you know its for your truck specifically.
