Purrs like a kitten I think that a chrome master cover would look good btw...had no idea that stuff from Eastwood was so expensive, but Eastwood stuff usually is. Search Google or Amazon and you might find something similar for a lot less

I had to re watch the video to hear what your talking about and while I can hear it in the video its non existent in real life, I would say Valve-Train noise from high lift cam, these motors are known for that..... I'm not sure you can only hear it in the video not in real life. Sounds completely quiet in person.

Ya, I'm thinking the next rebuild project is the brake system, I converted it over to front disc brakes but I've never been able to get all 4 working together properly. Only fronts, it's a great permanent line lock though..... I think it's a problem with the proportioning valve or master cylinder, so if I have to replace the cylinder I'll buy a better one that has the nice factory gold cad platting and put a chrome lid on it!

So does anyone know what procedure there is for breaking in new dual valve springs? I've just heard you need to heat cycle them a couple times and then they are good. That is what I have done; I.e start up the truck let it idle up to operating temp, let it sit overnight run it again the next day up to operating temp at idle. I've done this probably about 5 times over the course of messing around with it. Sound right?

Does anyone know if i can interchange (use) the cats off a 6.2 on my 02 yukon with a 5.3 which within the next 60 days will be swapped out with an Lq9 with L92 heads??
the cats on my truck right now are bad and need new ones but i have the cats off a 6.2 engine

Hey what is up i have a few questions So far total what has your build cost for you and what tranny are you going to be running in this build? Also i Have been looking around to Rplace my 4.3 in my Truck now i can grab a full ecm and lq9 Third gen for about 1200. so i am jsut curious if my stock trans can handle the power out of this build

I've heard different opinions about breaking in different styles of performance valve springs (I believe that with older flat tappet cams you wanted to run in the cam with the inside spring removed to have less pressure to allow the lifter to spin and wear in properly...)

I would think that a few heat cycles like you've done would be fine, but that's just my opinion...not the gospel lol

id say your good. but thats just my opinion. when i did my cam i drove it home right after the swap and then twice more before i got on it at all letting it sit and completely cool down between. so thats only 3 heat cycles. now it sees 6300 almost daily lol

That's what I thought should be good to go now that I've done some heat cycles. Not that its going to go anywhere until spring lol.
