Thanks, I can't wait to hear it run! I've been getting some interest in the 5.3l locally, so it may be in sooner than later!

Started the 5.3L pull last night, but the guy that bought the 5.3L wants all the stock valve-train reinstalled, so I'm about halfway done doing the valve springs and I've already got the stock cam back in. After that I'll do a final test run and then pull the motor out completely.

Also the Circle-D Converter finally shipped just this morning.

I second that... It's a beautiful engine, can't wait to hear from you what it does once it's in.

I'm liking the ones that say GM Peformance Parts LSX (even though it's not the LSX block its still LS based)

Are you going to relocate your coil packs?

I like either the GM Performance Parts LSX or the Chevrolet ones. As you mentioned, IMO, it doesn't have to actually be an LSX block to rock the LSX badging, as long as it's an LS engine...plus, they're the nicest looking of the bunch!

I've seen some that were just straight up GMPP and the checkered flag that were really nice, but hard to find them to buy... was kind of looking into them, although they'd be covered up by the coils in my case anyway.
Check into some of those trick Katech covers and coil relocators, C5R style! But, $$$$!
