Default 2007 5.3 cam install question with DOD

Hey I have a 2007 silverado 5.3 crew cab I'm wanting to do a cam install with the TR220 cam is this a good cam to use? I'm wanting some power but it is a daily driver and how do not want to get rid of the DOD ( driving on demand) how do I install the cam without doing so? What will I need? Thanks everybody for your help.

You need to get rid of the DOD in order to install a high lift cam, the stock lifters are weak, they even fail on stock cams, do some research in here so you can see.

you cant put a bigger cam and keep DOD, unless there is a cam company that designs bigger cams to work with DOD, which i have never seen so good luck on that.

there is a DOD kit that you can buy online, and you need head gaskets, head bolts, a LS2 timing chain dampener, 3 bolt cam gear, ARP cam plate bolts, ARP cam bolts. you can spend the money on stock head bolts but i dont like installing them. also if you buy a cam that is a single bolt cam then you dont need a timing gear, nor cam bolts. i recommend the cam plate bolts to get away from the TORX screws imo.
