Default 2007 LQ4 vs 2007 LY6 6L

I'm looking at a motor out of a burned 2007 truck. I believe, 2007C. I know these two motors are the same dimensionally (bore and stroke wise) but are there any other differences other than VVT? Is one GEN III and one GEN IV?

The guy I'm getting it from said it had cathedral port heads on it when he pulled apart so I'm guessing its a GEN III motor. The heads and intake are junk but the deck checked out to be good and its missing a couple pistons that he took out of it but that's ok too... I'm going to reuse the crank and rods since they are low mileage and not hurt and put forged +.060 -4cc dish pistons in it and some 317s with my current truck intake and fuel system... This motor has the better "LS2/"LQ9" rods in it right? I thought this was all 05+ 6L motors.

4.06 bore X 3.92 stroke = 375ci if I'm not mistaken, correct me if I'm wrong

Should be a pretty strong stockish motor... On 10-12psi

My main concern is if it is a 2007 Classic truck, did it have the LQ instead of the LY?
Ill find out more specifics about the truck soon, I just spoke with him on the phone (litredevil) and he is out of town and not where he can lay eyes on it at the moment... But being as he said they were cathedral port heads, that should be for sure GEN III right??? I would think so... I'm crossing my fingers that it is.

yeah cathedrial port is gen III and honestly, that's what I would personally go with over the L92 for the time being. Cathedral is tried and true.

Yeah, that's what I'm hoping too... Heads are way easier to come by and less expensive when you do find them. Just some cleaned up 317s will be plenty for what I'm trying to do...

If it's a GMT-900 (new New Body Style) I'm pretty sure it has the new 58x reluctor wheel on the crank, instead of the 24x you need

Plus the newer motors have LS2 style knock and cam sensors that require adapter harnesses
