Default 210/218 Vinci cam question

I've got an 06 ccsb 5.3 4l60 3.23. My question is has anybody run the Vinci 210/218 .551 114 lsa butt kicker and can tell how well it improved your low end torque. As well as how copy l of an idler out had. it will still be on the factory fuel injection system. Is it even compatible with fi. I'll be towing a travel trailer. Thanks

Yes, it will work for FI, tow no problem, Lot of people go 212/218 from TSP. It seem almost same as 210/218 you may need change a high stall converter because of cam. You need replace valve spring and pushrod 7.4

4.10s would be best bang for the buck IMO..

Already got comp lifters and lunati 73925 springs good for .660 lift. Actually got Z06 cam in it but I'm gonna get rid of it. How does the 210/218 , 212/218 idle and how good is the low end??

I ran a 212/218 low lift for 2 years in my NA truck, low end feels exactly the same as the stock cam but around 2000 or so rpms it starts pulling great all the way to the red line.

FYI, there's no cam in this world that improves low end torque on a LS truck engine (over the stock cam). That said anyone of the cams you mention will be great for a DD as you don't loose anything down low but you'll gain around 50-60hp with supporting mods.

4.10 gears is a better bang for the buck as stated, been there done that.

3.73 and that cam would work good with the stock stall, the 212/218 chops pretty good on cold starts but will clear up as the engine warms, any good tuner can smooth the idle out

Hotrod, that Vinci cam should be great with those mods, no stall needed.

As for how the 212/218 lopes it's all in the tune, I wanted to hear some lope out of it so my tuner kept the idle rpms same as stock and it lopes nicely even with the tvs1900 on top. People asks me all the time if I have a big cam in there haha

And if you run stock tire size get the 3.73, it's the best compromise for street/highway IMO.
