I'd have to double check, but I believe all the VHP cams use a 110* ICL.

Default 109 icl

i think They run at + 5 So the 112 l/s = 107 ICL
113 = 108 ICL
114 = 109 ICL
115 = 110 ICL CAR cams may vary

my understanding is as follows
210/218 gives a nice bit more Tq over the comp 212/218 and requires no converter.
You can get it in many diff L/S's and .530 or .551 lift
the 062 210/218 112 .551 cam lopes a little(5.7)and prob a bit more in a 5.3 so You know something is there and has low end tq
the comp 206/212 may start "slightly" sooner

cam B 210/218 + 5 112 = 5,800 PEEK
cam C 206/212 112 + 2 suggested 5,000 peek

Hey guys,

Just jumpin in here real quick; I saw the thread and have been looking at picking up a Comp 212/218 for my 09 Sierra 5.3... So the thread has been helpful.

I noticed that you guys have mentioned the stall converter, I've been thinking that I might need a 2000 stall for that cam. Am I on the money, or would you recommend more?

I do use my truck as a DD, and would like to be able to tow when necessary, hence the low stall... Your thoughts???

FYI, I do have Kooks LT headers, off road Y, Banks Ram-Air CAI, and a Banks Monster Cat-Back system installed on the truck now... it seems that a Cam is the next move.

Good question... learning something new already. Circle D offers a 2600 stall, says it's supposed to be great for DD's. Here's the link...

Go with a 3000-3200 stall. best bang for buck.

Will it affect my ability to tow with the truck?
