Default 212-218 or TR220

Since my parts ain't sellin, I'm going to throw them at my truck, finally.

The truck is a 2005 Crew Cab 2wd 5.3. It will have 4.10 gears, a tt3000 stall, full exhaust, and a CAI. I'm looking to still be able to tow occassionally and still be sorta daily driveable. I also want to run low 13's spraying a 125 shot. From what I've gathered, by choice would be between the tr220 and the 212-218, but I don't know what lift or lsa I need or which cam would be the better choice.

Also, my goal of low 13's is what I HOPE to achieve, not EXPECT to achieve, so please don't bash me if it is unachieveable; I really don't know what to expect with these mods in my heavy truck, besides a busted tranny.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

see sig.mine is a 112 lsa. love it. with traction it will run 14.2 and still needs a good tune. you should easily hit your goal with a 125 shot. the only thing i would like is a 3200 stall to replace the 3000.

for the 3k converter i would get the 212/218, you should be way into the 13's on motor alone with the 4.10's, full exhaust, 3k converter.... you can also custom spec your cam, the like the 212/218 .558/.563 112lsa, my brother has it on a 114lsa in his ecsb and it can hold its own... charlie wheatley had that cam in his crewcab and he ran a 14.2 with that cam, 4.10s, CAI, that is moving!! i cant imagine what it would do some some LT's and an exhaust...

Well the ladies Chariot has all the and the TSP 220 and it ran a 14.2 on 20's I can only imagine the next time to the track and we run smaller tires with the 3200 Fuddle installed...Time will tell...But with the 5.3L and the TSP 220 it was a big difference. Just my .02 worth
