i was told that thunder racing cams are real hard on valve train and that is why i havent bought a 220 114 for my daily driver yet...........

I heard this from Thunder Racing.

Does any one have a sh*t load of miles on this cam???????

My cam works fine for a daily driver. I get decent milage yet and decent street manners. My torque is not a problem either.

I agree with Jess, Theres nothing worse then over camming a lead sled like a truck.

IMO it is all in the tuning... I have a 220/220 cam in a 4.8 , which is a pretty healthy cam for the cubes, and it has the stock TC and it daily drives great... My girlfriend is pretty much notices everything out of place and she has yet to notice the new cam!!!! It took alot of timing adjustments at part throttle to get not to fall on its face, but it drives great now... Idle and off idle tables need to be adjusted and tuned also so it does not stumble and die... The cam really take off over 2500ish...
