I could be wrong, but when I was playing with the DCR calculator, it seemd that the larger the intake duration the less dcr. Which makes sense since cam companies reccommend increasing the compression for their bigger cams. Exhaust duration did not appear to have any effect. Tightening the LSA and advancing the cam always increased the DCR.
It shed a lot of light on why some ls1 cams make strong power while others are weaker. Like the popular 224tr 112 had one of the higher dcr. The 220tr cam had more dcr but I suspect the less duration limits the topend power. The torquer cam and ms3 cam had lower dcr and they always dyno low.
Nothing against TSP cams, theyll grind them however you want.

I dont know, the calulator was for the ls1 and didnt have specs for the comp xe lobes to play with. The staic compression ratio maybe to low for the tr220. To be sure, put the specs of the 5.3 into the calculator to see for sure what the dcr is gonna be. If its less than 7.5 to 1 the motor is gonna be a stone.
Another thing to consider is the truck intake. It may like different closing events than the ls6 intake. Plus these trucks have less compression than the ls1's and ls6's.

I like the 220 cam but wonder if its too big. Ive read of people running good times with the 212 216 cam.
maybe the tr old man cam would be best. 214 220. I was thinking of getting a comp cam on xer lobes 220 222 111 +4. I say 220 cuz that as small as the xer lobe goes.
You can get the LSX lobe 216 duration but the lift is .629"
