Haha. But he is very smart guy. He owned 1963 corvette with 427 block plus 4 speed. We builted and made over 500 on N/A motor.

An aluminum block will run cooler than an iron block because it dissipates heat better. In the winter it takes forever for it to warm up. ls6 is just a newer version of a ls1. A larger displacement engine will always require more fuel than a smaller one. That is why they go with smaller an smaller engines to increase fuel mileage. I have run two ls1 engines. The first one was replaced after aprox. 65k miles. The 2nd one is getting close to that. Daily drive it carrying 400-500 lbs in the bed. Never had any over heating issues. Luke, you can get used ls1 blocks in the 300-400 dollar range on ls1tech.

A 370 is 6.1 liters, which is a 6.0 bored .030 over and a stock stroke not a ls7.

Okay, Dave tell me how much did you spend and built on ls1? Have you been done dynoed lately?

I want do is for my truck going to be daily drive. Street/strip, will do race sometimes. Remember I'd dependable on truck a lot and will tow a vechile sometimes. Not as often. Whenever I really need. But absoutly do tow the boat sometimes. Want find a perfect engine what I need. Of course I always want make a power between 450-700 that it.

Same stroke MPG difference will be minimal at worst.

Not saying 6.0's can't get good mileage, but usually, in theory, smaller bore engines will get better fuel economy, assuming every thing else is equal, due to the flame being able to propagate across the smaller space more efficiently, resulting in a better burn.
