The GM rods are strong but 250 shot strong....I doubt it. I would stay with 150-200 shot....closer to 150 shot.

that is what I was thinking to about the gm rods, but I got to looking at some forged I beam rods and they are rated at like 500hp and 6k rpm but that dont seem like much of an upgrade cause I know from past experience that even the older sbc can take 6500 on stock rods. Ask me how I know. But would a rod rated at only 6k and 500hp be enough? I would hope so but thought I would ask. O and it will not be a sudden 200 shot it will more that likely be on a controller so that should help as well.

They say that to cover themselves...they can take more but with nitrous...go to a h-beam. So a progressive controller will help but 200 shot is 200 shot once its all in and a lot of pressure...it helps to build it up though.

I'm not saying they couldn't do it. Did you install ARP bolts on the rod ends?

For just about any kinda of stock rod that is asking a lot of especially for continued use. Hey Badass how much are you spraying?

hey have yall ever heard of proline Lightweight Super Racing H-Beam Rods? here is what it said.
The rods also have bronze wrist pin bores for floating pin applications, dowel alignment sleeves for precise cap alignment and come with MS Performance 200,000 PSI rod bolts installed. In addition, the beams have been profiled to work in most stroker applications. Rods are rated for engines up to 12.5:1 compression and 7,000 rpm.

Im running a 150 shot on my 10:1 355 in my 78' with Factory cast crank and rods, I only have forged pistons and it has performed flawless I spray the **** out of it!! I wouldn't be scared to run a 200 on mine.... As long as you set it up right you should have no problems!
