if you start having issues with response i would move the MAF away from the TB as the VE tables calc based on the amount of air traveling through ~18in of pipe

that could cause you to lean out witjh extra air

Did you use used pistons and rods?

Nothing to really write up it is so simple. 5.7 & 5.3 share the same rod length and same stroke crank. You get 5.7 pistons (3.898-3.908 ish bore) and carry the block and parts to machine shop and tell them to bore it to fit the pistons. Balancing never hurts either.

The one I built for a friend is running 9psi boost on it right now and loving it.

Beautiful trucks Dude! I've always loved that body style!

NICE JOB!

If this motor I have ever goes, I'll probably bore mine to a 5.7 with forged internals and run 15 psi+

So all I have to do is find some 3.90" pistons and have the engine bored? That's awesome that it's that easy....hmmm......

Sorry guys I have been busy. I bought a used crank, rods, pistons, intake, alt, p/s pump, trans, cam, lifters (which I have to replace), etc. I think if you had a complete motor (5.3) and all you had to buy was pistons and you can pick up good used ls1 pistons all day long, buy the time you bore it, rod and main bearings, arp rod bolts, and replace all the torque to yield bolts, gaskets, etc you could do it for a grand pretty easy.
