The one I built for a friend is running 9psi boost on it right now and loving it.

NICE JOB!

If this motor I have ever goes, I'll probably bore mine to a 5.7 with forged internals and run 15 psi+
Thanks the blazer is down to the frame right now, it is getting c4 vette front suspension with air ride front and rear, it should lay frame with 20's. It is also getting a lq4 that I am going to convert to a lq9 and a th400, new paint, new wheels, new interior.

You bore that 5.3 to a 5.7 and that 150 shot will be usless if it runs like mine or should I say spins like mine. Mine has 3:73's and a posi with 29" tall rear tires and it gets in the rev limiter smoking them. That is all it will do is spin but I love it.

thanks again.
I am certain mine gets over 15mpg but my autometer speedo is messed up, it resets the mileage everytime I turn the switch off, I need to fix it. I have home ported and polished 4.8/5.3 heads on mine and this thing runs very good for a truck. I have to pull the heads and replace my lifters sometime since the valvetrain is so loud but that is what I get for skimping on new lifters since they are only about $100 new, live and learn I guess.
