Default 4.8 cam help

i have a 2003 silverado 4.8, 4x4, auto trans, reg. cab, short wheel base.
i was looking into putting a tr220 cam in it. any suggestions on a custom tune, stall, anything that i should do? any help would be appreciated.
thanks

Blackbear tune, Long Tube headers, at least yellow LS6 springs for the TR220 or pac racing 1218 springs, if you go any higher lift on the cam you should stick with the pac 1218 springs like if you go for the texas speed 220 version it has a higher lift .581 and LS6 springs are not enough.
Get hardened pushrods also and I would just get the cam package that comes with everything.
Buy all the necessary Gaskets and seals as you never know what your stuff looks like until you take everything off. Buy a new stock GM crank bolt too.
A Circle D 3000-3200 converter

new gears later

I know you have a 4.8L but Here is what my 5.3L sounds like with a tsp 220 cam and this is still stock manifolds too.

not sure if i would run LS6 springs on a tr220
yes it will handle the lift but the lobe is aggressive and there isnt much seat pressure on LS6 springs
YES it has been done but just my thaughts

Exactly my thoughts too, I just said it could be done because people have done it but I would rather get pac 1218 springs.

90# closed seat pressure on the LS6 springs vs. 130# on the PAC 1218's...as mentioned, guys have done it and gotten away with it, but the extra seat pressure is some cheap insurance that you won't be bouncing the valves off of their seats.
