Default 4.8 max cid

Hi,well i am not that good in internal engines so i say to myself pt is your traning place so with my 02 sierra 4.8 how much max cid i can go with my block ,i think i am talking about stroker.

I have heard that 383 is about as big as it gets. Basically, bore to LS1 piston spec. Buy a Ls1 Stroker crank and rods. Get some better heads. Personally, I like the idea... But buying a used Lq4/Lq9 is cheaper.

why? Just as cheap to find a wrecked truck and pull the 6.0L out. Its the same size physically as the 4.8l and if you can find someone with hptuners near by then getting it running is piece of cake.

LQ4s already have over 300hp. Throw in a nice cam w/ LTs and your moving!

Then you can sell your 4.8 to help cover cost.
