There is no benefit unless you are doing like my old man (he is pulling air from the cowl). I am going to run mine backwards and have 2 tubes that come back around to the front of the motor with a cone filter on each end. I guess far as looks opinions are like ********, everyone has one. I like the way it looks myself.
