408 stroker?
#12
For comparison's sake - I'm expecting my N/A 408 to put down about the same amount of power as the Radix'ed LQ4 that I had....and my 408 is about 9.5:1 compression, not the 11:1 or whatever that most people build them for.
TSP sells some decent shortblock and longblock 408's, and their customer service is top notch. For what you are looking for though, I would stick with a stock bottom end 6.0 with the Radix. You probably won't hit 500 rwhp but it will be close. Don't even try the Radix on a 408, it wouldn't be worth it IMO. If you go 408 you'll want to either look into a turbo or doing the MP122H upgrade.

Well guys thank you for the info and heading me in the right direction. I belive I will do as suggested and do a stock 6.0L. Should I look for a LQ4 or a LQ9 to put the Radix on? I would like to put the LPE GT2-3 cam in the 6.0 I install. Do you think this would be a good cam for the application? If I do install this cam in the 6.0 should I change the rod bolts like suggested in my 5.3L?
I have the Radix with a 3.00 pulley, a outlaw intake, Dynatech suppermaxx headers with high flow cats, Corsa catback, FLT 4L65E, 2800 VIG 3 disc, 4:10's
