^ thats alot of money to build considering you can buy a all forged long block 408 from texas-speed and still save over $1,000

i agree with whitesilvy04, why spend that much on a short block that may give you problems later. i am all for building your own sh*t, i built my 383 in my s10. but sometimes you have to look at the cost and effort of building something. if its cheaper to just buy a 408 short block with great parts in it , why not. hell on the main page of texas-speed there is a 454 c.i. lsx for $5845.00. it comes with an eagle crank, scat h-beam rods, and diamond pistons, id go with that.

Well with that mentality then anyone wanting a stroker should throw away their 4.8,5.3,5.7,6.0,6.2,7.0 blocks and build a LSX block.

I rescently build a 383 stroker out of a 5.3 block for Curtd. He has run 9lbs boost on it so far and no problems yet. It actually ended up with 3.9115" bore after proper piston clearencing.
