No, it will all bolt up. The 6.2 will make a lot more power under the curve than your 5.3. Once you get the 6.0 or 6.2 in trust me, you won't ever know how your drove your truck with the 5.3

But my old mods will have to go right? none of them will work on a 6.2?

Lingenfelter makes a converter box, but from what I've read here, it doesn't seem to be 100% perfected yet as some guys have had crank sensor signal issues. The cam sensors are also in different positions, as well as the knock sensors. The GENIV's also have a one bolt sprocket cam with the cam sensor pickup tab built into it, vs the 3 bolt sprocket and separate cam sensor reluctor that is built into the rear of the camshaft on the GENIII's. Just a few things to keep in mind as you search for a 6.0 Now, a GENIV 6.2 should be a direct swap I believe
can you buy all the relocating sensors along with the converter box?

no you can use all your mods on the 6.2 just take your timing chain and cover and put it on the 6.2 since you have the new style.

and to eid2021 you just take your stock knock sensors and replace the ones that come on the 6.2 with your old ones. The lingenfelter box comes with wires to extend your map sensor wiring and cam senesor to the front of the timing chain where it is located.

I would look into an L76 also. There are quite a few out there. They are aluminum block 6.0L's with the L92 style cylinder head. You can get them from the Vortec Max's or even better the G8's. The 6.2L would be the best option if you can find one at an affordable price.

pretty sure the denali had the LQ4 or at least the denali trucks did. I think the LQ9 only came in VHO trucks and vortexmaxx trucks and awd escalades. I have seen the 6.2 w/ trans going for 3-4k around here......(nor cal)
