just wondering if the 5.3L vortec head has the same port diameter as the ls1 head?

anyone know the diameter of the vortec port?

will this flange work for 5.3L head?

I don't know the size off hand but would think they have the same size ports, as the headers all work on each other, could be wrong but dont think so.

i guess, i'm wondering if 1.5" id pipe will be too small.

we run that on 500whp+ fourcylinder apps, so i would think it would be alright on a 1000 max setup for a v8.

only reason i want to stick with that pipe is that it only comes in 1.5" or 2" and the 2" od is 2.25". definatly a lot harder to run pipe if its that big, especially on a manifold in a semi-cramped space.
