50PSI oil pressure up to 6000+ RPMs?

Its probably an LS7 crate engine.

I think so too, Ive been reading about their (SLP) Camaro ZL1 which is almost the same package as my truck, but that makes me wonder if I really do have an oil pan with the pressure relief valve limiting the oil pressure.

Yes, you do have one. Guaranteed. There's nothing wrong with 50psi peak whatsoever. All in all, I bet it was built according to GM spec on the bearing tolerances. I built my G8's L76 at some real tight clearances and because it was once a DoD motor here's it's specs.

Idle at 40*: 58psi
Idle at 180*: 49psi
2000 rpm at 40*: 75psi
2000 rpm at 180*: 60psi.
4000 rpm at 85*: 97psi
4000 rpm at 188*: 78psi
6000 rpm at 205*: 65psi
7000 rpm at 220*: 65psi

The relief valve is open regardless at 65 psi on my engine or else when cold it'd be way over 100psi.
