AFR 205 Mongoose LS1
Anyone running AFR 205 heads on one of there vehicles? I am considering these as a next purchase if I can ever decide on if I am ever going to run FI or nitrous.
With swapping from the 72cc 317s to the 66cc combustion chambers of the AFRs, I think the compression ratio for the LQ9 would be around 10.7. That might be a bit high for FI, but good for nitrous.
What gains could be expected from head swap? 30-40 hp and tq?

i think joshua gained around 60+ to the wheels. that would be a bit high for FI, but nice for the juice.

i think he was around 315 rwhp before the heads/injector upgrade.

1slow.. thanks for the link. I dont know why they didnt come up in my searches. His numbers are nice. The 224r should put down a little more.
I have been looking at AFRs for a while myself Trever. When I spoke with my tuner, who has swapped many heads on his many camaros, says do not skimp on the heads. Not saying the cost is reflective to quality, but rather usage. Also, not saying AFRs are the best, but for the specs I am looking at, they seem to be a good match as they come from AFR.
