Alright guys. I got my cam in last night its a 212/218 comp cam low lift version on a 114 lsa. My question to you is: Should I put my predator back in the truck until I get it tuned? I took it out before the cam swap just to be on the safe side. Btw, so far im loving this cam! Im waiting on getting it tuned because I will have a 125 shot coming soon for it and want to get it all tuned up on the first go round'

One other thing, My rockers and my springs on the driver side where the pcv valve is was a dark bronze compared to the passenger side, the passenger side looked new, any thought as to why it might be like that. My only guess is the whole pcv valve setup in the valve cover on that side. 70,000 miles on the truck.

I would definitely leave the tuner off. The tuner will lean up the afr and add more timing which you dont want untill you get a real tune on it. Most likely your stock tune will already be to lean for your new cam. Just my .02

While you are getting it tuned, put some LS1 electric fans on it.

I'm unsure who I'm gonna get to tune it. I know I need electric fans, I'm in the process of getting them. thanks for the quick replies! Any ideas of the discoloration on the springs , rockers, and push rods? Was yalls the same way?

Yep, mine were the same, probably just where more oils sits and stains them. You should give Wheatley a call, he can help ya out.

Dyno tuning can be expensive, but it is considered the best by some. I would prefer a street tune, however sometimes traction and a loose torque converter can prevent you from having a spot on street tune.

Sell the predator, shouldn't have even bought it in the first place.

When i took the turbo kit off of my old truck and Tuned PCM ,

I still had the cam ( comp 212 218) in with the stock PCM tune and sometimes it would stall, but didnt run too bad.

Wait till you get a tune on that badboy!!
