Answered your PM. Just match the camshaft with LS6 springs.

exactly my thought. your kicking yourself in the nuts by not winding it up a little higher...even with the stock cam. revving higher will set your shift extensions a bit higher if you ever go wot wich will be a little easier on everything with those large tires.

i say throw in a 212/218 112+4 and shift it at 6400 rpm. the stock converter will be fine with that cam and the idle will be just about stock with the 6.0.

Get yourself a big truck and your ideas on what a lifted V8 needs will change. You don't race WOT in a big truck with tall tires unless it's through a mud pit, which neither one of us do and even if we did, I'd never use a small block V8. The minimum would be a stock 496ci with a roots blower on top and 48x22" tractor tires.

There's no reason to wind a lifted truck motor out that high. The only time I'd ever hit 5500+ is on the highway just to pass old granny in her Buick going slow in the fast lane. The 212/218 112+4 is a great cam I think for a high-torque low-rpm 6.0L. Just make it so all shifts happen on the stock tachometer in that Jeep, I assume all below 6000rpms. Take it from a fellow rock climber and trail goer, if you need more torque shift into 4LO and crawl. If you're spinning your tires above 6000rpms, an extra 400 aint gonna help in our line of business. At that point you find someone with a winch and pull ya out.

That will certainly do. Anything around a 212/218 will be just fine. I would not go any higher than a 218/224 though in a 6.0L for our purposes. Make any extra power you might need with gearing instead...either by gearing the axles lower or change out to a Terra Low transfer case.

dude your on 35's...you act like your in a damn monster truck! it just looks big because its a little truck. that 6.0 will handle those 35's no problem in that truck of yours. i wouldnt be suprised if it would run a mid 14 in the 1/4 on those tires with a small cam and good tune and a few little bolt-ons.

if your never guna get on it or rev it past 5500 rpm the stock cam will do everything you want. leave it alone and it will perform perfectly fine.

oh and im not sure if its the dark picture or maybe my glared up laptop screen but your rear pinion angle looks way off. might want to fix that before putting big power through it.

I was still 2wd at that time, the picture was taken a year ago. The angle is spot on now with the single piece driveshaft and 4wd.
