Another pushrod length question!!
Hey guys this is my set up:
highlift comp 265 (212/218 558/563)
LS7 lifters
706's milled .020
will it be safe to run 7.375 pushrods? assuming that the base circle of the comp cam is the same as stock this setup will make me .005 too short. How bad is this? Also I saw in another post that LS7 lifters should spec out the same as normal 5.3 lifters but I just wanted to make sure.
Thanks for the help guys
Clint

Get a hold of hirdlej, he would argue this now that he has had valvetrain noise with the LS7 lifters and the 218/224 cam in his 6.0L. The one and only way to know for sure is to measure. Hunt down a push rod length checker and measure yourself while you have the valvetrain apart.
