I don't think running 9's, or 10's with a 4.3L in a S10 would be out of the question, but would take some $ for the engine to handle it reliably. You would need to convert the block to splayed, 4 bolt mains, short hard block fill, Good pistons, H beam rods($$$ there different than a 350), Custom turbo cam, valve springs, and push rods, port the heads to flow 250+ CFM, machine the valve guides down for the springs, and extra lift, balance rotating assembly(which will likely need mallory$$$), head studs, cometic gaskets, etc. There will probably be well over $1000 in machine work alone.

After your done with that swap over to the marine style intake manifold, and start building the turbo kit. I would start out with something like a Master T76 p trim, 68AR.

The reason everyone is saying LS swap is you can get a 5.3L from the wrecking yard, swap the cam & springs, build your turbo kit and your done.
Understood. Even if I go with a V8 that is not the source of frustration for me here. I frustrated that instead of helping people who don't want to help with a v6 build are all to ready to shoot off at the mouth about how they suck instead of just keeping their smart *** comments to themselves. Open web or not i I think it'd do the whole world a little good to show a lil respect for something else someone would like to try. (and yet another thing who ever said funding was an issue?) Your help is truly appreciated sir and I thank you.

that right there said funding is a issue. but its normal for people who wanna build something thats gonna be insane amount of money to say money is not a issue.

we all like to joke around here a little bit cause we have all been down the v6 rode, at least i have. you getting mad feeds the fire. if anything we are helping you but trying to show you the cheapest best bang for your buck route.
