Angry Argument at work on pulling my cam.

Soo im at work today telling a couple mechanics Im thinking about putting a bigger cam in my truck.. Their answer to me was get ready to pull the engine.
Im like WHAT???? since when? They said cuz u have to pull the oil pump and pickup tube. There for u have to remove the oil pan. I said no u dont u only have to pull the top timing chain gear and pull the cam out. I even showed them a vid on you tube where a guy did a cam swap and never touched his oil pump. They looked at me like i was retarded and walked away. Pissed me off to kno end.

So my question is Whos right Me or them??

You are right, better yet, do your own video and email it to all of them, and then at the end, hold up a sign that says "Suck on that, Bitches"

Correct, that is why they're called stealerships. First one, even if doing cam and springs for your first time, if you've got a decent idea as to what you're doing... I'd say 6-8 hours tops.

They are right. It can not be done. While you at it pull the bed off to change the rear tires, shocks. Tell them to get bent.. If you have any mechanical ability it might take you 10 hours, that is with the added beer breaks

what do they normally work on? i wouldn't take a bicycle to them to put air in the tires. it would probley take them an 1hr for that.
