Ready, set, go!

I'll add to that....they don't know what they are talking about. Old school knowledge only goes so far. Stupidity, on the other hand, often goes backwards..

I had a stealership try to charge me 8 hours to replace a damaged vacuum line. I walked over to my truck, grabbed his cutters off his toolbox , snipped off the damaged part, slid a rubber hose over it. I looked at the mechanic and the service manager and said "WOW, look, repaired in under a minute."

I made some enemies at work that day.

Lmao U guys all have very good points and yea i def wolnt be havein them do anythin on my truck unless its warrenty if that. Makes u wonder how much money they make when people come in and get their cars worked on an have no clue as to how bad their getting their ******* is getting destroyed.

Food for thought 19 hours wonder what the freakin charge would be depending on what this dealer ship charges per hour? Also 19 hours was just for the cam swap not changing out the valve springs. Better add another 10 hours to that... Ill do this my self **** on them. They werent messing with me either they brought the est hours and diagram on some website they go threw to work on cars. Sure as hell isnt my buddys lol just mechanics i met threw work. Bunch of morons

Yep, it says 18.6 hours to replace the cam. $293 to buy the stock cam through the dealer at cost. But I agree with it not taking near that long. BUT They also remove the starter and they remove the lifters and all that mess so that wont fall in, which is something we dont do. Even then, 18 hours is plenty.
