Exclamation Best place to have a short block built???

Anyone have any experience with having a short block built. Wanting a 408. Please let me know. I have tried to call Texas Speed and Futral Motorsports and can't get a hold of either of them. Figured I'd try on here and see if they are even still in business.

+1...Eric at HKE is pretty busy, though. It's probably best to email him. But there IS a reason he is busy.
The guy really knows his stuff.

I agree...HKE. Email him and he will email back. Otherwise if you call make sure you leave a message and time to call you back.

I have a 6.0 block that I have disassembled. What do you guys think of me sending this to them to bore? It will save me almost $1K.

I've heard great things about WCCH I have first hand knowledge that Richard definitely knows more about these engines than I could ever imagine to know, and have heard the same about Rex. I'd give them a call and see what they have to say http://www.proheads.com/

Why are you wanting to send it so far away? No machine shops good enough in the area?? I am wondering because I live in Poteau and will be looking for some head work done this summer.

No one around here has any experience with any LS stuff. They all told me that they would do it but it was the same price as everyone with plenty of satisfied customers.
