That all depends on what makes an acceptable daily driver for you. I personally wouldn't go any bigger than what you already have. There are other area's to improve on without going more camshaft. If you do go bigger try not to go much bigger or you're not going to be happy with only a 3200 stall. I'd look into a Fast intake or some 1 7/8" headers first. That cam you have with those heads is fine. More cam with a stock truck intake isn't going to gain you much.

the fast intake would not be helpful in my case because i am not going to turn the rpm that is need to see the gans in the intake. a truck intake will do fine or i can go pay 3-5Gs on a wilson manfold, and i am damn sure not going to do that.
i think im going to go with what i got for now. might call TSP today and see about a cam. but thanks for the help guys

Atta boy. I considered a similar one as well.

I run a 248/254, .615"/.622", 113 LSA with 1.7 rockers on 408CID. I don't plan on DD the truck however from the limited miles I have on it as of now, it isn't terrible of a driver. My converter is about 3400 on the street cruising. Haven't flashed it hard yet however I think it is going to be in the 3800-4000 range for some reason.

If you are going to run a big cam for a DD, keep in mind you will be pounding the crap out of your valve train which will take its toll over a shorter time that a smaller cam profile would.

i run a 232/236 .600+ on a 112 with a 3600 verter.

i drove it two weekends in a row to birmingham, 4 hours from me one way. did fine, drives fine, i love it. got 16 mpg all the way up and back. not bad for 400+rwhp and a big verter.

i wouldnt want much bigger, just because this suits my combo.

as long as your combo is working together well, i wouldnt worry about a big ***, donkey dick cam. mis matched parts dont do the trick.

just my .02

I think you're under estimating the intake swap. At your airflow level a FAST intake would likely gain you 30RWHP or so over the truck intake and an LS6 intake would get you 15-20. You can't read into the rpm side of it. It's an airflow issue more than an rpm issue. The more power you're making the lower the rpm is where the restriction really begins. Even if you went to a 236/242 you'd likely pick up 25RWHP over your current setup and 2-3 tenths. An intake will gain you that without changing drivability. A big cam is fun, but can be annoying and you may have to up your converter more adding cost to the cam swap.
