big cam for the street?

I've had 3 cams in my 408 (2600 stall w/3.73 gears) ext cab Z71, they are/were:
232/232
236/242
240/244
...the 236/242 is the best all around DD cam out of these three for my setup...I'll prob put a 248/254 in this year and see how it works.

humm all this talk about these big cams is kinda making me want to swap mine LOL!!! im not sure what would be the best for my setup i bought my cam when i didnt have a stall now that i have it ive been thinking about upgrading... what do you guys think for my lifted 4x4 with a 6 liter all mods in my signature

Well it's my every day driver, and when I go wheeling it's usually sand dunes or some trails with a little of everythig. I do need some torque for some steep spots, but I also do some street racing haha my goals a 12.9 at the track n/a on my stock tires! I know these are all conflict of interests but I do think a bigger cam would be helpful because of by stall
