Block advice for high power build
I am getting into my first serious power build and I have been trying to decide if the LSX block or the RHS block is the way to go. I know they are both 6 bolt head and I understand that the RHS is costly. My question is this... For a 402-416 C.I. motor that will see forced air from an F2 Procharger or even possibly twin D1's is there anything about these 2 that is either pro's or cons that is not listed in the basic info of each block? I want the bottom end strong, but I am not too sure which of these is the better of the 2 for this application. Does anyone have a 800-1200 FWHP vehicle using one of these 2 blocks? Any other links to info I might have missed? Any info or advice here would be a great help as I really want to not have to learn the hard way. Thanks in advance.

I don't have any personal experience these but I think you could easily reach your goals on either block. That LSX block is built to hold serious power. If you are not assembling this engine yourself I would let your builder choose the block. Personally, I would just have HKE or Virginia Speed build you a boost motor to meet your goals and not worry about it.
