if a lq9 fitted with 243's is about 10.9:1 , witch 243,s are 64.4cc then make the math if ur 317's are 72cc's you would have to mill them about .060 give or take to get them that high on cr with flat pistons ! remenber !

what is was told from richard at wcch, if you mill them over .050 you playing with fire ! not couse of valve to piston clearence (in an lq4) but from the intake manifold not bolting up! the thing is that the way the heads are desined when you mill them the seperate further out so the intake manifold will be to small ! or will no be wide enough! its hard to explain ! he explain it to me a few time b4 i understude it!

Ok starting to think about going a totally different route. Thinking 408 stroker may not be out of range for my budget...for about $1800 from TS I can get everything I need. Since I am not doing this till next summer most likely I can do the L92s and a good cam...I am really considering this now...

im building a 408 now with the l92 setup thats on my 6 liter ( stock short block ) if i knew what i know now about porting i would have went 243s you match parts you see great results
