With only a 3000 stall, I think it will be way too much...

A 212/218 or a tr or tsp220 would be good with that stall

Is this NNBS a reg cab or what? You can get away with a GOOD 3800 or so on a reg cab with a texas speed torquer v2 in a 5.3L, but I would get a 4000 imo.. A Good 3600 wouldn't be enough imo.

Is this a regular cab or not? I asked that before and got no reply.

I'd do at least a 3400 stall on the 224/230. 3600 would be better.

you are letting the size of the cam blur your vision. if you are wanting a 3000 stall anything from a 210-220 intake with a 216-224 exhaust would be best for you. the more cam you pick
the more converter and gear you need. you think your truck is a dog with a stock cam? wait till you install that big *** cam with only a 3000 stall an a truck with a smaller intake, crappy heads, an a baby 212/218 on stock 3:42s whips you....if you are wondering...i am talking about Grey Matter 04's truck his setup is cheap/DD friendly, plus traps 98.x mph all day long.

I agree completely with this. I'm running a 216/220 cam with a 3k stall and they match up pretty well with my 4wd RCSB. It wasn't bad with the stock stall, but I'll tell you right now there's no chance I'd go back to one.

You want a dependable daily driver and want to keep fuel mileage, and any driveability... stick with the smaller cams with a mild stall IMO.
