Default Cam for AFM/DOD 5.3?

GM put the BIG rebates back on the 09 crew cabs for the Memorial Day sale to I went in and bought the truck I've needed to pull my fishing boat since last September. I got it for nearly $10,000.00 under MSPR. The sticker was $32,900 and I paid $23,200(before sales tax). That includes $1,500 in GM credit card rebate dollars. When the salesman told me the price over the phone I grabbed my checkbook and jumped in the trunk and headed for the dealership. I have a set of Patriot CNCed heads, Pacesetter longtubes, Comp 1.85 Pro Mag roller rockers, Comp R lifters, Comp Hi Tech hardened pushrods, 25% underdrive pulley and Meziere electric waterpump waiting to go on the new truck. All this stuff came off of my 04 ext cab the wife wrecked. This stuff has been sitting on the shelf in the garage for almost 4 years waiting for the 6 speed transmission to be put in the 1500 Silverado and GM finally decided to put it in the 09s so I pulled the trigger. The only thing I don't have is a camshaft. I'd like to put in a big cam when I install the heads. Has anyone done a cam on these new AFM motors? Do I need a special camshaft? If I change the cam do I have to disable AFM or can I keep it enabled?

you will have to disable the AFM and replace the lifters...

oops, just saw you have the comp lifters... I have those also from my previous truck, not sure if those will work on this motor... hopefully someone will chime in on that.
