Default cam is big for 5.3 truck or not!

hey guys

i did a cam swap to a friend silverado 2011
its a Texas Speed 224/228 .581"/.588" Camshaft with 114 lsa

iddle is smooth

the car has prc stage 2.5 heads and kooks minifold + gibson catback and filter kit

i did tune the car but not on a dyno now the problem is the car isnt performing that well espiacally in bottom end
p.s stock torque converter is on the car ok i know i should change it

but even if i changed it my top end isnt that powerfull ! so is it better to swap the cam to a smaller one ? like a cam with 530 lift or i change the torque converter ?

Stall and gears. That cam is pointless on a stock converter. When you get it all straight, the cam won't be too big.

That cam should pull hard up top. After stall and gears, I'd take a good look at the tune.

3600 or up, IMO. Get in touch with Circle D, Yank, or FTI. Circle D is on the side of the page, and if the tuners suck over there, I'm guess a mail order would be better than nothing. If it's just a cammed truck, I'm sure you'll be fine.
