Cam choices for my 4.8
I want a good sounding cam that isng gonna hurt performance. I know its stupid, but it may not be in the truck very long considering on jobs.
I have a 6.0 on the stand waiting for a job closer to home.
Its a 4.8, TB stall, 3.42 gears, shift kit, LT's, and a few bolt ons. I have a new set of LS6 springs, so Id like to get something that can work with them.
Originally I was set on the TR220, or TSP220. I think the TSP has too much lift for the LS6 springs though, and the ramp rate on the TR is going to make those springs borderline.
Also Im thinking something in the 214-216/218-220 may make a little better power than the 220/220.
Being that its in a 4.8, Im thinking 110, or 112 lsa to try and keep what non existant torque I have down low.
What seems to be a good split for the 4.8? 4*, 6*??

Im pretty sure Im gonna go at least 214/218, more likely 216/220 though
Looking for some other opinions though. 212/218 is possible too, but not as probably as something a little bigger

LS1 Hot cam. It will work with thoes springs you have. I'm running that cam. Mt truck is running 13.40s @101 with 3.73s and shorty headders. I know there are better cams out there but it was inexpencive compared to other cams and as it turned out I like it.Sounds awsome and pulls hard. Your gonna love the second gear pull with thoes 3.42s you have. Down side is that you need at least a 3000 stall. That cam starts to get nuts about 3400 rpm. below that it's kind of soft.
