Cam converter combo
I'm doing a 6.0 liter swap in a friends 02 SCSB z71, stock cube 6.0, massaged 317 heads, a tad more compression, otherwise stock.
He is on 35" tires.
He wants a good sounding cam, and matching converter.
This is a daily driver so he wants too keep it dependable so no huge cam or 4000rpm converter.
Suggestions?

Well if by "sounds good" he means "allotta lope", it may be hard to find the exact cam that meets his criteria. Usually big tires means steep gears and torque minded cams, in which case I would recommend a cam in the 216/22x range with a 2600-2800 converter. At the most, I'd go with 220/22x with a 3k converter, to keep the powerband in a street friendly, low end torque area. Just my .02.
With that being said, I'm sure that you'll see a recommendation or two for the good ol TR224, which is too big for this application IMO, but opinions may vary.

IMO, i would get a custom cam specd out. something in the high 21x or low 220's with a 109 or 110 lsa would lope and still have plent of low end torque. i would look at an 11" 2800-3200 circle d converter. mine flashes at about 2800rpm behind my 5.3, so a litle bit higher behind a 6.0. VERY good drivability

I think you could foot stall it higher, but you would break your brake pedal as hard as you stood on it the other day when you were showing me!!!
If you need/want some help stuffing that new trans in your truck, just holler.

this is one of thunder racings cams down toward the bottom of their page in the truck cam section.
Comp Cams LS1 Camshaft - 215/ 223 .604 / .610 112 LSA, Very strong torque and excellent response. Works best in heavy vehicles, low rpm applications. RPM range of 1300 to 6500
that and a circle d 300-3200 should work great and btw the truck bottom ends are really strong as far as ive heard it should take almost every bit of that 6500 rpm range
