when i took my stock cam out after 70k miles it didnt look like that and when i took the vette cam out after 12000 miles it didnt look like that either....i wouldnt use it

If you have it reground you will change the cam specs on that lobe. You could have all of them done but unless it was free, you would probably be better off with another cam. If it is just a lobe or two messed up, I would say it was probably a problem with the lifter, probably the bearings going bad in the roller, since I am assuming this is a roller cam.
