Yes I 100% agree on LS7 lifters and cheaper than comp cam! Know what length push rod for 212/218 set up?

The stage 2.5 heads come with new valves, springs, and very impressive cfm number for porting and polishing on them, that is why I am tempted to spend the extra 2-300 dollars for easy direct bolt on.

With the transmission upgraded, good for 400rwhp, I'm allowed 1600 to 2600 stall choice.

My next question is, with some new upgraded 2.5 heads would the 212/218 or 216/220 be better for my power needs? Maybe a LSX intake with 102mm throttle body down the road also to think about with my cam choice!

3:42 rear end by the way. Kinda pulls but love the gas mileage it brings so keeping the size for new posi track at bday

push rods (still need to mesure for correct length)

While your at it I would change the timing chain and lifter trays and all gaskets. I also have this setup and use a factory head gasket. It is a TQ SOB... I love it

It's all good. At least you got him pointed in the right direction.

I'm running milled 243's and the thinner head gasket, and I used 7.350 PRs. Stock PRs are around 7.400 (Different guys have measured them to slightly different lengths). The LS7 lifters have a lot of travel, so if you're just a hair off it shouldn't hurt you. Best bet would be to buy a PR length checker, they're around $20, that way you take the guess work out of it. I would also do what was said earlier and change out the lifter trays, they're just a few bucks a piece, and it's good insurance in case you crack one of them or one is already cracked.

Also like what was said before. Give Beau a call, and they'll get you set up right.
