cam and head question ?
Im thinking bout ordering the tsp torquer v.2 cam for my lq4, would this cam work good with my stock heads or would it be wise to upgrade to some better flowing heads?

You would definitely see a gain with that cam. You would have to upgrade the springs, the stockers will bind. As for that cam in an otherwise stock setup, I think its too much. The lift is high, and thats fine, but that duration is going to kill your bottom end. You can offset that loss in low end TQ with a converter that stalls around 3600 or so, but the problem you'll run into is that cam will make peak power (depending on the LSA) around 6500 to 6800. The bottom end is on borrowed time at those revs, even with ARP rod bolts.
I would look more into something in mid 220s duration and lift around .575" - .600". Even with that, you'll still need a converter to get that 5200lb monster moving with any sense of urgency, otherwise you'll be in my boat. Even with my cam and stock converter, I can't just mash the gas, I have to ease into it.
