Cam specs on an 06 5.3L?

it probably has a l33 in it.. suprised no one mentioned that.... i gues im going from learning to teaching on this forum. a l33 is an all aluminum 5.3 with flat top pistons from the 4.8 which makes higher compression...... gm started this in 05 im pretty sure

My engine is the LM7 and they didn't start the L33 till 07. Also the L33 has either 243 or 799 heads which have bigger combustion chambers (64cc's) than the previous 706 heads (61cc's) which brings the compression back to the 9.5 even though they have flat top pistons.

my buddy has an 06 with l33 in the glove box.... sooo i dunno bout that.. but the other stuff is news to me... ya learn sumthin every day.. i also thought that they kicked out another 10 hp/ft lbs... but i guess maby its because they went form a 323 to a 325

Really? I never heard that some 06's have l33's... Man I wish mine had that... Lol thanks for settin me straight on that.

L33s started back in 2005.

Look at your VIN and tell us what the 8th digit is, that will let us know exactly what engine you have.

yeaaa i knew they started in 05 but i didnt wanna push him too hard on that..
