i got a number to a guy that has a 5.3 for sale. im not sure what kind of shape its in or anything but i can give it to you. i was thinking about getting it for a project im about to start on but im going to go bigger instead

I just wanted opinions on a 4.8 cause I got one under my desk and its so clean and ran great. And I know they love N2O!!!

A local guy around here did that same thing just to prove a point to the mustang guys. Hell the video posted might be him....didn't watch the video.
But the car ran like a raped ape with the little 4.8l in it.
I say go for it.

Update! I am going to get the car tomorrow. Do I buy a used ls1 shortblock, or drop the 4.8 with headers and small cam? Bout the same cash wise.

4.8 would be different though.

I've got a 5.3L equipped 2000 Z28...it's not so bad (could use some heads/cam, stall, gear, and a bottle don't get me wrong). With mac mid-length headers and ORY and a Flowmaster muffler it did 290rwhp....stock tune, stock LS1 intake.

It's for sale BTW!

The 4.8 aint no slouch, trucks are just a bit too heavy for it to be considered for performance.
