depends on the lift honestly.... I personally wouldnt run those springs with that cam...
as far as the trays, I dont know the advantage to those... some people drill 3/8" holes in the bottoms of their stockers to aid in oil draining back to the pan.
lift is .563 on the cam, the springs are supposed to be good to .570 and i know it is pushing it for those springs but a lot of people are using those springs with that cam with no problems
im doing p&p'd, milled 706 heads, tr224 cam, ls2 timing set, ported ls6 oil pump, 8.1 injectors, valve springs (either the yellow ls6s i have or the ones i posted above), ls7 lifters
and yes, those springs look a lot more suitable for that cam... its going to be hard on the LS6 springs running them at near coil bind or maxed out. get more spring than you absolutely need IMO... I'm running Crane duals with a GT 2-3 cam LOL
