I sadly say I drive a v6 fullsize lol. I have a K&N CAI, exhaust cut-out, and a tune from thunder racing, and ran a 15.8 with spare tire out, tailgait off, and passenger headlight out.

I have a cam sitting in my room that I ordered from summit (.260/266 .500lift with 112 lsa). All I need to order is springs and its going in. I will shave the heads when I take them off for the cam swap too Also going to port the throttle body while im at it.

When that goes out, a stock 6.0 with a t56 is going in.

As for comparing to 5.3's for now, I would stick to racing stock 99 model silverados.

Im VERY insterested to see the outcome of adding the cam and working the heads a lil bit.

If you are going to spend that much money, why not start with a better platform for modding and making power like a 4.8 or 5.3?

Very good question lol and I get it from a lot of people. I do make the money to do a 6.0 swap, but I want to see what the v6 can do while its in there.

Right now I can out run stock to little modded 4.8- 5.3's. I try to stay in the 99-02 range though with theses series of motors. I ran one 4 door 4.8 with LTs, and tune, and beat him off the line, but got passed at 70 mph.

I try to mod the truck to where the 6.0 can get some too. Example is in the next few weeks I am going with 4.10 gears and a posi unit. I already have a stock exhaust with a cutout to bolt right in place

Cam and springs will go in during the summer while I am at UTI.
