CNC'd L92s by WCCH
Wanted to share with yall my L92's I just got back from Richard at West Coast Cylinder Heads. These are going on my 408/4L80e project going in my 2006 Crew Cab 1/2 ton. I bought these heads bare from GM and sent them to Richard and he did all the cnc work and they turned out awesome. They flow 345 cc on the intake and 245 on the exhaust side at .600 lift on my 408. If anyone is wanting some bada$$ work on some heads, hes the one to send them to. Here are some pics of before and after.

After
Here some misc of the truck

Nice looking heads, WCCH does top notch work so I'm more than confident that you'll be happy with them. I'm assuming that Richard does a 5 angle valve job as part of the process, the valve seats appear to be worked if my eyes aren't playing tricks on me. Super clean truck too

Yes, completely different runners, from what I read here, the L92's don't need to be hogged out as much as the older design heads. I know that there isn't a part of any runner that is untouched on my WCCH 317's. I'm surprised that someone who has done as much head research as yourself would even try to compare an L92 to any GENIII head

Those pics (that you're referring to) from that other thread were L92's? I thought that they were LS6's or 317's or something like that, don't completely remember. If that's the case, sorry, guess that I wasn't really paying attention. Still, I'm not impressed from what I remember seeing, looks like someone hogged out those other runners with a lop-sided bit, got half way done, and forgot to finish lol.

I’m sure the OP’s WCCH L92’s will work just as intended - great! I have a set of the GMPP CNC’d L92’s and they are hogged out all the way. They have 280 or 279cc runners depending on whose advertising them and they don’t flow any better on the intake side than the WCCH heads and the exhaust is quite a bit better on the WCCH heads. Richard’s heads should have better velocity and overall drivability with the slightly smaller runners. He got his target flow numbers without hogging them out as far as they would go, which as we all know is a better approach. If I hadn’t got what I feel was a killer deal on the GM versions, I would hands down rather have the barely touched or should I say touched in the right places WCCH L92’s!
Congratulations Biggsw784 on a nice set of heads that should work nicely on your 408 and by the way you have a killer looking truck.

i must say after having read multiple threads and dealt with WCCH personally, they r my only choice for heads. spend 5 minutes on the phone with richard or any of his guys and u see that they r not in it for the money but to do whats best for ur setup. those type of people tend not to cut corners or **** u over and do things the right way. plus anything 1Bear says and Cody says i put a ton of weight behind since i know these 2 guys know their ****.
